Hi! I’m Fernando, a software engineer student specialized in AI-driven automation and environmental intelligence, with a mission to align sustainability with strategic business outcomes. My work is focused on transforming raw environmental data into ESG-aligned insights that drive operational efficiency and investor confidence.
At SeaBridge Sustainability, I lead the development of AI agents and automated pipelines that handle ESG data processing and calculate Scope 1 & 2 emissions across large property portfolios. By leveraging AI and custom data extraction workflows, I help organizations reduce carbon footprints, comply with international frameworks (GRESB, ISSB, CSRD, TNFD), and unlock measurable financial savings.
I also contributed to the upcoming Little Book of Nature Business by Global Canopy (2025), a pioneering framework that helps investors identify opportunities across sectors that are critical to building a nature-positive economy.

As a contributing author for “The Little Book of Nature Business” (Global Canopy, 2025), I collaborated on the design and structuring of a comprehensive nature-business framework encompassing both vertical value chains (e.g., food systems, construction, utilities) and horizontal enablers (e.g., infrastructure, finance, technology). We performed quantitative analyses of environmental dependencies and impacts within the global food supply chain, responsible for roughly 22% of global GHG emissions and 80% of deforestation; and identified high-leverage innovations, case studies, and investment opportunities for each segment. I also integrated guidance aligned with the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF), TNFD, and the Natural Capital Protocol, ensuring a holistic approach that transforms biodiversity risks into actionable business and finance strategies, accelerating the transition toward a nature-positive economy.

Since joining SeaBridge Sustainability in 2024, I have architected and automated end-to-end ESG data processing pipelines by deploying GPT agents and Make.com workflows that translate JSON-formatted actions into dynamic processes. I developed Python-based web scrapers enhanced with large language models and DNS validation, building robust databases that improved data acquisition speed and cut manual-entry errors. Finally, I conducted high-precision emissions assessments for properties, calculating Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions, and delivered ESG reports for organizations aligned with GRESB, ISSB, CSRD, and TNFD standards.
